This animatic was made as a previsualization of a fight scene between Rafelle, the young boy and main character of my manga iRIS, and Morrigan, a poncho-wearing federal cop sent to catch him. The manga is set in the future in Trick City, a Halloween themed metropolis where genetic augments and gadgets are common among the citizens. Rafelle utilizes a magnetic hand to traverse metal platforms, avoiding the homing attacks sent from Morrigan. I wanted to use this sequence to practice showing off lighting within an animatic, as well as cycling between animating in 2's and 3's with different subjects on the screen (Rafelle zips around on 3's and the ball flies around on 2's).
